galang
Lollapalooza started yesterday. I can see (and hear) Grant Park from my office, and it started at like two, so I got to listen to M.I.A., and now I can get galang (galang, galang galanggalanggalang!) out of my head.
So this chick keeps sending me emails. Her relatives have the same last name I do, and she's using my first initial and last name @gmail.com, thinking it is one of her relatives (who must have a similar gmail address...but I got the good one first, fucker!). So first she's sending me mass emails about church. And now it's evites to birthday parties. I should really email her and tell her she's made a mistake, say "hello, distant relative!", because that would be the right thing to do.
The wrong thing today is wait to see what she sends me next (especially after the evite, which was a slightly racist "Mexican" themed birthday party).
What do you think I'm going to do?
Something similar happened earlier this year when I kept getting personal training session confirmations from some gym in Boston, but those weren't nearly as interesting.
I am on vacation all next week. Yes, I was just on vacation in July. I was worried about getting in trouble for taking vacation only a month apart, but no one at work seems to have notice, because, you know, they aren't paying nearly as much attention to me as I think they are.
Where I am going to spend this vacation is actually up in there--it all depends on when C.'s "cycle" (her term") starts, because if it starts in the next few days, we need to be here to go to the doctor and get shots and what not. If it doesn't start this weekend or Monday, on Monday afternoon we will go to Michigan where we will go camping in the wilds of metro detroit with my mother.
If they guy downstairs doesn't stop complaining that my cats WALK to loud, my head is going to explode. I will be sure to aim it out the window at his deck.
