soggy
I'm supposed to run in the Ch@se C0rporate Ch@llenge tonight. Unfortunately it's supposed to rain all fucking day and night long. Fortunately, the only people running are a few associates and some secretaries (partners must only like events where it's guaranteed that they will be able to chat up clients without breathing heavily).
It's hot, it's humid, this weekend is supposed to be even hotter. But I'll be in Vegas where although it will be even MORE hotter than Chicago, at least it's a "dry" heat, whatever that means.
We didn't have air conditioning growing up and think what you want about michigan being in the great white north but Detroit gets fucking hot and humid during the summer. I remember being like 11 years old (which coincided with the great drought of 1989, so not only was it 100 degrees, we had to suffer through never ending news reports about how we didn't have it as bad as the farmers who were losing all their crops) and laying in my second floor (heat rises) bedroom in August, sweat forming a halo on my pillow, thinking that I would not live til morning, that my brain would be cooked crock pot style in my skull by then. that was a wet heat, i guess.
