hmmmmmmmmm, blizzards
a few nights ago I had a dream about dairy queen. i am officially a fat girl, because who else has dreams about dairy queen (it involved driving down a busy road in some suburb and thinking "wow, I could really use a blizzard" and out of the blue, there was a dairy queen!)? Eerily, this dream came to life on Sunday when C. and I were looking for the TJ Maxx in Morton Grove (long story). We didn't stop, obviously, because that would be totally fucked up (and because hey, once you start having dreams about dairy queen you know it's time to cut down on ice cream). we also saw a really, really creepy shut down miniature golf place. it looked like something that shaggy would wander into during an episode of scooby doo. i wish i had a camera.
i also wished i had a camera coming home from the gym tonight. traffic was backed up on west bound North Avenue all the way to Sheffield from the 94 overpass because, SURPRISE!, a semi-truck that was too tall to fit under the bridge made a go for it anyway and sheered off part of its roof. it was stuck directly under the overpass and it was a good 2 inches taller than the overpass, so it must have been going pretty fast otherwise if you were that driver once you heard the first screech of tearing metal, wouldn't you stop before you were half way through? it made sitting in 20 minutes of traffic to go half a mile TOTALLY WORTH IT though.
unrelated second thing: c. and I watched this spanish movie (i.e., a movie from spain, not just in spanish) called "a mi madre le gustan las mujeres" (my mother likes women) which, all though it sounds stupid, isn't half bad and has this hilarious scene in which the youngest daughter sings this pop song that says over and over "a mi madre le gustan las mujeres" and now i can't get it out of my head.

you either need to blog more or remove this posting. i keep checking your blog everyday for something new, and instead i get a post about ice cream, which sends me into a craving spiral and makes me want to throw whatever crap i'm actually eating out the window (although, shockingly, our windows don't open, in order to confound due diligence-related suicides, no doubt). i'm going to hold you personally responsible when i get mistaken for a beached whale and thrown back into the ocean while i'm in mexico.
