inspector 29

on the floor in front of the bathroom stall i almost always use (for some reason, it is consistently the cleanest) there is the kind of sticker you find stuck inside a new shirt or in the pockets of a pair of jeans that tells you who inspected that article of clothing.

the "inspector 29" sticker has been on the floor since i started work in april. it is either 1) glued to the floor with space age opoxy or 2) still there because the floor has never been washed.

(c., apropos of nothing, insists that i add "when we came home the covers of the bed were moved down from the pillows in a kitten shape and there was a little stuffed bright-orange mouse laying there which had obvisouly been played with for quite some time. we left it there and then just now when c. went into the bedroom to purge pillows as she'd promised [editor's note: this weekend we took a bed, bath and beyond gift certificate from CHRISTMAS and used it to buy two more KING SIZED pillows. since c. already had, oh, 20 pillows on the bed, this addition meant there were now 22 pillows on the bed and it made it very difficult for me to make the bed and balance the fucking pillows (oh, and to sleep) so, fresh off my "please call me!" e-mail from this morning i yelled at her to do something about the motherfucking pillow debacle after work = the great pillow purge; i'm sure she's only removed 1, which means we now have 21 pillows on our bed] she found the orange mouse under her pillow, which is very, very cute").
